It started with a material
ReUp began with a fascination for materials that are often overlooked.
We were drawn to the surfaces shaped by use, pressure, movement and time. Materials that carry evidence of where they've been, rather than hiding it.
Among them was something almost everyone encounters, yet few stop to look at differently: the tyre tube.
Once its first purpose is over, it is often treated as something with no further value. We saw something else.
Character.
The marks, folds, texture and imperfections told a story of movement and use. They made the material feel individual.
That became the starting point for ReUp.
Giving material another purpose
We began exploring how discarded tyre tubes could be transformed into objects that were not only functional, but considered and refined.
Through design, craftsmanship and precision techniques, the material is cleaned, prepared, cut, shaped and assembled into bags and accessories designed for modern everyday life.
We don't try to make the material forget where it came from.
We let its history become part of the design.
From raw to refined
ReUp brings together the raw character of reclaimed material with understated design.
Some stages are carried out by skilled artisans. Others use machine stitching or laser cutting where precision and consistency matter.
The result is a balance between the human hand and technical precision, allowing each material to retain its individuality while becoming something durable and functional.
